AVO INS Range PSU
AVO meters can usually only effectively measure resistances up to about 2MΩ. They do have an INS range which goes much higher but it requires an external power source "In the region of 130V to 170V," to quote the manual.
Below is a PDF file showing a unit I made to supply this. I didn't design it; it was on-line as a means of supplying HT to valve circuits. All I've done is change the value of a variable resistor to give a wider range of output voltages and beefed-up the tracks on the PCB to make it easier for we with limited skills and equipment to etch.
