"RAF Sector Station Clock"
This was just a bit of fun and can't even be justifiably called a replica or reproduction, though it's probably no worse than some of the pieces of crap that are on sale with those designations.
The clock started out as a wooden disc with a silvered chapter ring on. It hadn't cost me anything and was surplus to requirements. I'd only kept it as it wasn't worth trying to sell and I may have needed the movement for another one at some stage.
I managed to find a decent picture of a Sector Clock face on Google and cleaned that up and printed it at the appropriate size. I then sprayed it with clear lacquer so that glue wouldn't cause the ink to run and also to give it some protection. I then stuck it to the base of my old clock after taking the chapter ring off.
It certainly isn't a brilliant job as the clock I started with was quite crudely made and natural movement in the wood means it's slightly oval. Still it's not bad.
The artwork is reproduced below. It's also available in a ZIP here in PNG format so it can be re-sized to suit your requirements. It also contains a black and white version. If you don't have a colour printer you can use the latter and paint in the triangles by hand, which would probably make it look more like the originals. It could be printed and stuck to any cheap clock that has a flat face.
